DUCKS

We have a flock of all female ducks that are a combination of Black and Blue Runners, Blue Swedish, and Welsh Harlequins. They are by far the noisiest birds on the property, especially in the morning. Every morning on my way up from the barn to feed them I collect slugs along the path for a treat - extra protein! It's their favorite time of the day. They will be used for insect control in the garden (hence the slug exposure) as they are efficient foragers and are also excellent egg producers. We can't wait for some duck eggs!
